• S. Guggenmos: Siegulf Guggenmos was an amateur archaeologist. He discovered the locality of the Hammerschmiede clay pit. He found the first fossil here as early as 1965. It was a part of a turtle shell.


• Prof. M. Böhme: Mrs. Prof. Dr. Madelaine Böhme is a paleontologist in Tübingen, Germany. She found the fossils of Danuvius guggenmosi.
